My Food Storage Cookbook

You have a bunch of food, now what? Megan has helped answer this question and has countless recipes on her website that are tried and true.  She really opened up our eyes to the countless possibilities of what you can do with your food storage and how yummy it can actually be!

My Food Storage Cookbook

Megan inspired us as we listened to her story of how she got started. You can read more about it HERE! She shared how she realized she had so much food, but yet nothing to eat, because she didn’t know how to cook with it. She definitely doesn’t have that issue now, and you can find many of her great recipes on her blog. I have to give props to her husband and family for allowing her to experiment so many recipes on them :) We definitely owe them tonz!

All of her RECIPES are on her blog and you can even print them straight to a Recipe Card. Her instructions are so detailed and easy to follow with lots of pictures, that if you mess them up we might make fun of you!

When starting anything you need to have a PLAN! She discussed the elements of her plan which consist of:

  1. Taste/Nutrition
  2. Variety
  3. Convenience
  4. Low Fuel/No Electricity Cooking Options
  5. Simple to Understand
  6. Manageable

She has VIDEOS you can watch and instructions on how you can make a Food Storage BOOK just like hers!

Megan ended with demonstrating a few simple skills that can make all the difference between eating a bag of flour, or instead enjoying yummy PASTA, TORTILLAS, & BREAD!!! She even made some CREAM CHEESE to compare to store-bought cream cheese and no one could tell the difference!

The most fascinating part of the night for everyone was the WONDER OVEN! It’s pretty much like a crock-pot but without electricity, and the best part is you don’t have to worry about burning your food! Not only does it keep Hot things Hot, but it keeps Cold things Cold! She made bread in it that was so moist and delicious I’m craving more right now.  I made sure to guard the bread table all night so no one snuck an extra piece and I could take the leftovers home :)

A huge issue in Texas is where to store it all? She even conquers that challenge and shares her tips on her POST today! Check it out!

Thanks again Megan, come back anytime!!!

You’re so sweet Jaime! I had a great time!! Teaching people what they can do with their food storage is one of my favorite things to do. I love it that food storage doesn’t have to be a crisis in and of itself– it can actually taste good!

Love the site and I can’t wait to get started with my own plan. In your class at Women’s conference you showed us your Excel plan and said you might be willing to email it to us. Please let me know if you are willing to send it out. I know you put a lot of time into it. Thanks
