I love Thanksgiving season where we can take a little time to reflect on the things we are truly grateful for. I’m impressed with my kids teachers, because all week my kids have been telling me about Squanto the Indian, the Mayflower, the 1st Thanksgiving, and what they are grateful for – they’ve definitely taught me a thing or two :)

There are so many things I know I’m thankful for, but something that has stood out in my mind all month is probably not the typical response. Of course I’m grateful for family, pie, & our new kitty – but I’ve been especially thankful for the Beautiful Women of God.
Maybe it’s because I’ve gotten a chance lately to run into some of the most vile and hostile women around. At the same time I’ve gotten to meet and get to know some of the most kind, beautiful, & loving women EVER. I’m not just saying that either. I don’t know if the gap is widening between women of the world and women of God, or if I’ve just been more observant, but they have definitely stood out to me more!
“Women of God can never be like women of the world.
The world has enough women who are tough;
We need women who are tender.
There are enough women who are coarse;
We need women who are kind.
There are enough women who are rude;
We need women who are refined.
We have enough women of fame and fortune;
We need more women of faith.
We have enough greed; we need more goodness.
We have enough vanity; we need more virtue.
We have enough popularity; we need more purity.”

I am truly grateful for women that inspire, instead of judge and tear down. I’m grateful for women who will be examples to my daughter and show her that kindness and charity do exist. I’m grateful for the angels in diguise that have blessed my life and continue to breathe life back into me. I’m grateful for the women that not only make life more bearable, but something truly worth living!
I hope you know who you are, but I’m truly THANKFUL for you today!
I LOVE THIS!!! I too am thankful for Women of God. Thank you for your amazing devotional and object lesson and for being a Woman of God!
