Radio Interview – Simplifying Food Storage

Trying to sound smart for an hour can be tough. I can usually bluff my way through 5 or 10 minutes, but 60 minutes is a lot of work. I have to admit I was pretty proud of myself, I was able to meet my quota for inserting the words -“ummm” (that should be a word), “cute”, and “wow” as often as I could :) The most amazing feat of all though, was being able to keep my cool when my husband forgot to get our son off the bus. I took multi-tasking to a whole new level when I was able to curse my husband out in my head, talk about food storage, and get my son off the bus all at the same time. So besides a couple awkward pauses, the loud bus in the background, and my son pounding on the door to show me the picture he drew, I think my first radio interview went pretty well.

Joyce was a wonderful host, and if you listen to nothing else, her glowing description of me is a must. That was worth doing the interview right there, who cares if it was true or not! Joyce is truly one incredible woman who I have been privileged to know for many years! Make sure to learn more about her below and everything she is doing to make the world a better place!

Here it is, listen if you dare! I even used a few of you as examples,
so hopefully you don’t mind.

RADIO INTERVIEW – Simplifying Food Storage

Host: Joyce Moseley Pierce – All you Need to Know Show on the Preparedness Radio Network

“So many families give up on food storage and becoming self-reliant even before they begin. Its hard not to feel overwhelmed and confused when navigating the world of preparedness. That’s why Prepared-Housewives.com was created, to simplify and educate everyone that truly wants to become self-reliant in a few easy steps.”

About the Host:

Joyce hosts the All You Need to Know Show each week on the Preparedness Radio Network, is the Family Preparedness Expert for Ideamarketers.com, a contributing author to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, published author of Saving Nikki, and former member of Toastmasters International.

Joyce also put together some invaluable documents to help put all your important information in one place. She was frustrated with the hassle of trying to figure out what information she really needed and the best way to put it together for her family so she created a simple and complete kit so that others could have all the information they need in an emergency – at their fingertips, with none of the hassles that she had to go through!

Check out her blog at: http://preparedineveryway.com/blog/
Her kit can be found here – “All They Need to Know”

She also created this blog to help the families in her area: http://providenthome.org/

Great post! We were both great multi-taskers that day. While you were getting your son off the bus and swearing under your breath, I was helping the Lowe’s serviceman lift my dryer on top of the washer! We are both women of strength! :-) Loved having you on the show and everything I said about you was true. When are you coming back to do another one?

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!  Jamie, you are doing amazing things.  Let’s schedule another show.  As detailed as you are with your posts, we could easily do shows on any of them.    I love “doomsday dame” !!!

You are so funny! “There will be plenty of desperate housewives running around when a disaster strikes. I want to be a prepared housewife.” ROFL! Great interview Jamie! You sounded really put-together and knowledgeable!
