Enough fun – now it’s time to go back to school ;)
All my kids are officially back in school (except 1)!!! I’m doing a happy dance right now! I’m starting to hear my thoughts again, and today I actually got dressed and put on make-up!
We had “eat lunch with your kid day” at school, where parents try to show-off how awesome they are by bringing their kids happy meals and stuff. I asked my 1st grader what he wanted,and he could think of nothing better than going through the nasty lunch line – and so that’s what we did (he doesn’t get to do that very often).
I know everyone loves their kiddos (and especially looking at pictures of mine ;), but do you know to keep them safe? Or more importantly, do they know how to stay safe?
Next week for Survival School, we’ll talk about some options for protecting your favorite people.

I’m starting to understand why people come up and ask why my kids don’t look like me! I guess my baby is a total opposite of me with her blonde hair and blue eyes! Ok, enough of my mommy ramblings you could care less about, back to work!

Jamie–I too have long dark hair and brown eyes and receive the cute comments about how my blonde haired, blue eyed daughter must look like her father. She does! I was shocked when I first saw her, for her older brother has brown hair and blue eyes.

Thanks for stopping by and your sweet comments! My husband has red hair and lots of freckles, so I guess the kids are a good mix of both of us, even though everyone still says they look more like their Dad!

Your daughter might not look like you but your son sure does (minus the blonde hair). This might not be a “prepping” related post but it’s always great to get a peak behind the scenes of your “regular” life.
Really shows that we’re all just normal, everyday people after all – With a couple extra cans of food kicking around ;)
Good to know at least one looks like me ;) Actually, as my son gets older people have told me he looks more like me!
