I guess I’m in the basement here. Since I’m not, and will not be on facebook, and not on Pintrest, though I have looked at that one, just not signed up. Oh well, one shot is better than none. Good giveaway though. I know whoever gets this will be makin some jerky movements when they find out they won. Where’s the vid camera when ya need it? Don’t worry, even though I know I have little chance at this one, I’ll still vote for your site on “Top Prepper Sites”

I am pondering whether or not to stop reading your blog. I don’t know about the validity of information coming from someone that doesn’t put on makeup before going on a hunting trip. LOL

Ha ha, you’re hilarious! I almost started crying when I started reading your comment. I would have been devastated to have my top commenter leave!

I’ll make sure to not be ultra-lazy and put make-up on for my next hunting trip! Thanks for the laugh ;)

Did I read this right? John said, “I don’t know about the validity of information coming from someone that doesn’t put on makeup before going on a hunting trip” . Guess he’s not gettin any info from me either, I don’t put on makeup either. Don’t concern yourself Jamie, you look great without makeup, weather huntin or blogin.

Y’all crack me up! I don’t even take myself serious without make-up. I look like a zombie straight out of the movies without it ;)

And Yes, make-up was the Very 1st thing I added to my preps ;)

Jamie, I have been following you on Pinterest for sometime now. A friend of mine has become obsessed, in the best since, with your information and has finally agreed with his wife and I about being prepared. I think your website, postings on Pinterest and Facebook have helped convert him. Thank you for the information you put out and for doing what you do. Keep up the great work.
PS.. Next to Buffalo Jerky, Deer is the best!

      Thanks Beth!

That means so much! Knowing I converted someone to the dark side of becoming prepared is the best compliment I could ever receive ;)

P.S. I’m going to have to go take out my cousins Buffalo and see for myself!

Nice deer Jamie!!! We have already blown through 3lbs of deer jerky and I think I need to pull the dehydrator out again this weekend to make more. My wife wants to make Salmon jerky…not too sure about that.

Thanks for the shout-out today in your post! I love when men aren’t afraid to talk about menstrual cups!

Soooo, I signed up for Pinterest, so I could get a few more chances at the dehydrator. I just have a question for you. How do you get anything done at home? With all the stuff on Pinterest to look at, it would take a lifetime just to see some of the things of interest. I’ll never get anything done anymore.

        Hi Jamie,
I love your work, may I ask how long would you say dehydrated Deer Jerk last in Mylar bags and food grade buckets with oxygen absorbers?

I’m not totally sure, but it should last about a year or so. About the same as if you bought it from the store, maybe a little longer.
