I seriously hope you have a Very Merry Christmas!!!
When I started this blog a year ago, I have to admit I did it for selfish reasons. I was tired of explaining the same thing over, and over, and over! With a blog I could write-up a post once and direct people to it, rather than explain something a million times.
I’ve come to really enjoy helping others in the little way I can, but somewhere along the way I’ve realized that I was being helped far more than I could possibly be helping you.
I feel like you’ve allowed me to share who I am, and in a way, you have become an extension of my family! So I thought I would share a little of my family with you…
Many of you have seen the preparedness side of me, but here’s a little of what goes on behind the scenes and the monsters that run my life ;)
Hubby
I couldn’t ask for anyone better! He puts up with me (which is huge), and wins Hubby of the Year hands down!
We are also very proud of him for getting his 1st turkey with his bow and arrow. We still aren’t sure how the turkey died since it was shot in the elbow (apparently turkeys immediately die when you shoot them there?)! Anyways, who cares, it tasted good!
Me (Jamie)
I pretty much never get out of my pjs, spend way too much time on the computer, and have earned the worst-mother-of-the-year award way too many times this year. I did get some mommy points though when I put a snake around my neck!
I also signed-up for my 1st (and sure to be my last) marathon for Jan 1st (next week), so if you never hear from me again you’ll know what happened! Which reminds me, if anyone has a 1 week marathon training plan please send it my way ASAP!
Eric
Eric has figured out the fastest way to clean his room is to throw everything out his bedroom window (including… actually I probably shouldn’t say). He’s also found other uses for the window like fishing with Playstation controls out of it.
He still won’t smile for a camera, but he has learned to kiss girls.
Owen
Owen FINALLY learned to NOT run around the house naked or the cat will bite his wee-wee ;)
He’s been a very good tutor to his younger brother by teaching him all the tricks he knows – how to find and stash candy, turn himself purple, write his name on TOP of the car, make his sister into a super-hero, hide out in the closet with the portable DVD player, and the list never ends. About the only time I get anything done around here is when I Velcro him to the wall!
Isaac
His brothers have taught him well ;)
This week he was able to check drawing on the walls and turning himself purple off of Owen’s Boot Camp Checklist. He should graduate in no time!
Also, if anyone knows of a Sugar Addiction Recovery Rehab for 3 yr olds, he needs one desperately!
Abby
I have to say I finally understand what people are talking about when they say they don’t want their babies to grow-up (I now know what they grow-up to become ;)
Abby is the princess at our house and I don’t think they come any sweeter than her.
I do feel awful though, because I didn’t realize how deprived she was of anything girlie until we bought her a doll for her b-day – she doesn’t let that doll out of her site!
Sharpie
Sharpie is the newest addition to the family and he stays very busy finding new places all over the house to sleep and to pee!
I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and enjoy some time with the ones you love most, thanks for letting me share the ones I love with you!
Through all the hustle and bustle I hope you can take time to show gratitude for the greatest gift of all – the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Even with all my shortcomings and imperfections, his Love is always there. I hope you can feel his love for you too!
Well, that’s it for 2013, see you next year!
P.S. Remember to check-out my FAVORITE THINGS and Enter to Win them All!!! I extended the deadline since I won’t have reception, internet, cable or anything else all week! We are spending Christmas in the sticks this year!
P.S.S. Not to beg, but I would love for you to take 2 seconds and VOTE my website as one of the BEST (since I know you were just wondering what you could get me for X-Mas :)

OK, I’ll vote for you. I also know how you can get through that marathon without too much grief. When the run starts, and while everyone is still bunched up, pick a nice coffee shop along the route and stop for a cup or two, then casually walk back past the starting area a hundred yards or so, take your time, and wait till a bunch or runners come by and just step out and start running to the finish line. Ya, I know it’s cheating, but as long as your not in first place. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to save face, or in this case, life and breath.

Bet your dying to know why everyone calls me Evil. Well you can stop wondering, I’ll tell you why. CAUSE I AM, Evil. Only my friends can call me Evil though, my enemies call me Mr. Evil.
Wishing you and yours a Marry Christmas and a sappy New Year. Is that sposed to be Happy New Year? Watever.

Thanks Alec! I ended up running 3 minutes and walking 1 minute, which worked great! I survived and got the medal I wanted ;)
